On Wednesday evening, February 10, 40 generous parishioners volunteered to taste test two different snickerdoodle cookies as part of a fund raiser for the Guatemala mission trip. Hosted by Continental Mills rep, Jennifer Galibraith, the event raised $400 for the mission trip while helping Continental Mills choose which Krusteaz snickerdoodle mixture will be sold nationally at Walmart. Participants were asked to taste each cookie separately, then answer questions concerning taste, texture and appearance. After trying both, the testers were then asked to choose which cookie they preferred. Continental Mills will take the results of the taste testing back to its marketing department to determine which cookie mixture will be manufactured and sold. Continental Mills, based in Seattle, is the parent company of several brands of food products that are easy to make at home. The snickerdoodles are part of a line of Krusteaz Bakery Style cookie mixes and will be available for purchase at Walmart stores in two weeks.
